History of Motor Club of America


Motor Club of America was founded by Mr. William W. Green who was born in 1900 in Atlantic City, NJ. In 1926, Mr. Green became the Chief Executive Officer of Motor Club of America (and its former subsidiary Motor Club of America Insurance Company), from 1926 all the way through 1986. During his tenure with Motor Club of America, Mr. Green along with his brothers in his family continued to grow Motor Club of America in "major insurer and auto-service agency" within the United States.

A person by the name of Mr. Virgil Coffee, a Texas native, began his career in the Motor Clubs as well as marketing in the 1960's.   Virgil Coffee was the marketing arm for Pre-Paid Legal and wrote the marketing plan that propelled them into success. Virgil Coffee, who co-owned a successful sporting goods company that, had five retail stores in Texas. Virgil eventually sold his share of the company and moved to Oklahoma and began selling memberships for another motor club company unrelated to Motor Club of America. During his seventeen year tenure with the company, Virgil worked his way up to the presidency of that company, but eventually in 1987, Virgil Coffee started his own company, TVC Marketing Associates, Inc. The company continued to grow over the next 25+ years. TVC stands for Truckers Voice in Court, which did just what the name implies, provided court representation for truckers in motor related incidents.
In the 1970's, Mr. David K. Kircher became PRESIDENT of Motor Club of America and continues to hold the title of president currently.
In 1989, TVC Marketing Associates, Inc. owner Virgil Coffee (father of Oklahoma senator Glenn Coffee and a very famous name associated with another product) began his joint ownership of Motor Club of America.
David Kircher became MIS Director and Chief Operations Officer for TVC Marketing Associates, Inc. in 1996. TVC, which is the parent company of MCA, TVC is whom a member would contact in regards to their account or requesting services to be provided.

Virgil Coffee also worked for Pre-Paid Legal Services (currently known as Legal Shield) through his company TVC Marketing. Through his tenure (seven years), his marketing techniques created a 4 digit percentage gain in earnings for his company. HIs years of experience with marketing and providing products for automotive customers led him to continue the legacy of Motor Club of America.
The motor club services have been available for decades, but eventually for the trucker, became packaged into the Pro-Driver Packages with the focus being on the truckers primarily; over time, the additional focus was developed for the common motorist. This continued to grow to providing services not just related to the typical roadside assistance, but more benefits including emergency care, travel assistance, hotel discounts, emergency room cost assistance, credit card protection, legal services, and more.
In February 2005, the primary website for TVC was established to acknowledge their web presence at TVCMatrix.com and begin offering their services in the online area.
In October 2011, the specific set of packages was developed in three levels, deemed the Total Security Memberships. These memberships, available in 3 levels (MCA SecurityMCA Security Plus, and the flagship membership, Total Security) had an increasing number of benefits available for all residents of the United States and Canada, providing services as well as an affiliate referral program which gave associates of the company a chance to earn a referral bonus for bringing business to the company.
in September 2012, the company introduced two new benefits plans, Total Security Gold and Total Security Platinum which provided even more benefits in addition to those on the Total Security Plan such as legal services discounts, auto related service discounts at over 6,000 auto repair and service centers nationwide ranging from 10% to 50%, and MCA Matrix Income. These two plans also including the ability to earn residual income for referring others to a similar Gold or Platinum Plans.  The company would pay back parts of the profits of the company to each of those members who referred people in on a monthly residual basis additionally allowing them to earn income for referrals as well as long-term member retention.

To conclude the origin and summary of the organization, Motor Club of America and TVC Marketing is a truly a cooperative joint venture between MCA and TVC. David Kircher is the president of the Motor Club of America division of the organization and Virgil Coffee is the president and owner of TVC Marketing Associates, Inc. division; together form one larger organizations providing benefits for all as the "Motor Club of America".
